This is an entry- level class; open to students interested in playing a brass instrument (trumpet, French horn, baritone horn, tuba) or woodwind instrument (Oboe, flute, clarinet, alto or tenor saxophone, percussion). The class is an introduction to music through the development of listening and music theory skills while playing daily in the classroom. Students perform in small and large ensemble concerts at least three times per school year.

Percussion/Drumline (7th/8th) : Students in this class will learn both pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments. Students will learn to read music and will become the back beat of our Marching Band! Members of the percussion/drumline class accept an expectation to participate in the Holiday Parades, and other school events.
