Santa Barbara High School Multimedia Arts and Design (MAD) Academy

The Multimedia Arts and Design (MAD) Academy prepares students for college and the workplace by providing both traditional and interdisciplinary project-based learning in the evolving field of media arts and technology. The Academy’s collaborative environment emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, meaningful community service and the development of leadership skills.

Dos Pueblos High School International Baccalaureate (IB) Program

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at Dos Pueblos High School is an internationally recognized college preparatory academic program designed to fulfill the aims of IB Mission statement: to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Dos Pueblos High School Engineering Academy (DPEA)

The Engineering Academy is a four-year program designed to give students a real-world, interdisciplinary, project-based approach to learning. The program strives to create a balance between theory and application, and gives students the opportunity to learn about physics, art, computer-aided design, and manufacturing.

Santa Barbara High School Computer Science Academy

The Computer Science Academy exposes students to computer science and computer-related careers through a series of engaging courses, extracurricular activities and outreach events so that graduates will have a core literacy in computer science that provides broad opportunities for pursuit of post-secondary education and as members of the 21st century workforce.

Santa Barbara High School Visual Arts & Design Academy (VADA)

The Visual Arts & Design Academy (VADA) is a unique program that integrates college reparatory coursework with career-focused art and design instruction. Through a community of committed teachers and professional art mentors, VADA provides students a dynamic and relevant high school experience by using art and digital design as a catalyst to engage students in their academic studies.

San Marcos High School Entrepreneurship Academy

Entrepreneurship Academy is a dynamic three-year program that enhances the core curriculum through the personalized study of business, marketing, economics and finance. The Academy will provide students with the knowledge, skills and experience to springboard their own entrepreneurial visions into action through rigorous coursework, relevant experience in local business community partnerships and student-run business ventures. Upon completion of the Academy, students will have the foundation to effectively create their own business and/or successfully pursue a business related college degree.

San Marcos High School Accelerated Academic Program for Leadership and Enrichment (AAPLE)

The AAPLE Academy is a community of high achieving academic leaders committed to leadership and community service endeavors. The Academy mission is to offer a highly rigorous four-year academic pathway integrating leadership competencies‚Äčin a way that prepares students for top-tier college entrance while simultaneously providing sustained involvement in leadership and service based opportunities that mutually benefit students and the community.

San Marcos High School Health Careers Academy

The San Marcos High School Health Careers Academy is a unique partnership between Santa Barbara City College, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and the Santa Barbara School District. Collaboration between school and community health resources provides an effective educational program, which promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and work site experiences. This program will be a win for our students and their future and a win for our health care community who needs well-trained employees. Our goal is to provide a wide variety of health career experiences so that, upon graduation, students will be prepared for skilled entry-level jobs and/or entrance into colleges, universities or technical schools. This is a three-year program that provides students with excellent opportunities to learn about the health care industry through hands-on experience. Students will do job shadows and internships.
